Job Title: Network Engineer – HEM00006V Location: Hemel Hempstead travel to Harrow Role Overview: Manage necessary resources for the expected production of the enterprise network in accordance with the latest rules, contracts with suppliers and service contracts. Provides second level assistance, with respect to quality, productivity and security, in order to ensure continuity of service to end users. Key responsibilities include: · To be an integral member of the support team. · To investigate and resolve assign incidents. · To action approved and designed changes. · To communicate with customers to provide progress reports on Incidents. · To identify and report on areas of known problems. · To monitor relevant queues within the incident reporting tool. · Measures and optimises infrastructure network performance. · Administers IT resources and networks (users, quality of service, site security, IT networks, telecommunications infrastructure, transverse applications) · Provides Tier 2 support, in the framework of service level agreements (SLA) · Must regularly inform the Team Leader or another manager regarding work and projects progress Essential Skills: Network Engineer will have over 5 years relevant industry experience in a Service Provider environment supporting multiple sector customers. Understanding of advance Network principles including: Routing and Switching Firewalls WAN and LAN technologies Cisco IPT Telephony and Video Cisco WiFi F5 Load balancing/ global traffic managers CCNA Desirable Skills: Industry Standard Qualifications such as: Cisco CCNA/CCNP Checkpoint CCSA Have reasonable knowledge of standard ITIL processes including: Change Control Process Incident Management Process Problem Management Process Asset Management The successful candidate must be willing to undergo a security clearance process.
