Due to substantial growth in our project wins over recent months, Dematic are looking to enhance its Engineering team in Banbury, with the recruitment of a dynamic Quality Engineer. Focused on implementing global and local quality initiatives, the role supports both customer engineering teams and construction sites, and will include reporting to the management and leadership teams as well as on-site quality of workmanship checks. Main responsibilities: Promote and ensure compliance with applicable legislation, local and Dematic Quality policies and applicable standards. Develop good working relationships with the management team and site teams, and be a key support with the cascade of initiatives across all sites. Providing Quality management advice, support and guidance to managers and employees on all matters relating to Quality issues, programs and systems. Develop and implement appropriate quality auditing tools and conducts site inspections and audits as appropriate. Develop and implement appropriate Quality reporting tools to demonstrate status of quality initiatives and measures. Contribute to the development and implementation of the Quality management system. Support of the CE self-certification process for installed systems including CE compliant, part finished and non EU import products to Machinery, LV and EMF Directives. Manage and be accountable for specific Quality projects. Facilitates continual improvement, including response to employee concerns, communication on quality issues and managing completion of corrective action items. Work with, and provide input to, customers and other organisations to assist the Company in discharging its responsibilities to its employees, customers and the community. Champions Quality initiatives. Support supplier and subcontractor quality programs and ensure issues and corrective actions are driven to completion To be successful in this highly business critical role you will be HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or engineering experience; will have proven experience as a Quality Engineer, or Manager; Have detailed understanding of implementing ISO 9001:2015; Experience of auditing to ISO 9001:2015 (internal auditor); Ability to communicate effectively, and engage with employees at all levels in the organisation; Experience of implementing Quality programmes in engineering companies; Experience with FMEA, Quality plans and continual improvement tools such as Six Sigma / LEAN.
