IT Service Delivery Manager, Oxford, £40k-£45k plus benefits: Are you an experienced IT Service Delivery Manager who has experience of leading teams of service desk or helpdesk engineers, applying ITIL best practices & methodology? If so, this newly created role could be the perfect next step in your career. Our client is looking to hire an IT Service Delivery Manager over the coming weeks to be in place for mid-November. The role: This IT Service Delivery Manager role blends together service desk management, the delivery of IT as a service into the business and the implementation of ITIL best practices and methodology. You will provide leadership to a newly created service desk, conducting weekly 1-2-1’s, highlighting areas for personal and technical training. This role is working for one the UK’s leaders in their industry. With over 800 users covering ten UK sites you will be based at their head office set in the stunning Oxfordshire Countryside. There will be the requirement to travel to the other UK sites. About you: The successful IT Service Delivery Manager should be someone who has progressed from a technical role into a team leading or service management role. You’ll be passionate about your service desk team constantly striving to achieve the best possible service to the business. You’ll be a leader, someone who can invigorate your team through leadership and coaching. It is also key for you to engage with people and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders. Here are some of the essential and desirable experience and skills: · You will be able to demonstrate experience of working as a Service Delivery Manager in an IT Service Desk environment · You will have proven people management skills · Have a good technical background and have the ability to apply common sense to challenges · A working knowledge of Windows Server, Active directory, Networking and MS Office · A Microsoft qualification would be desirable · An ITIL Foundation is desirable along with a relevant degree or equivalent If you’re a Service Delivery Manager looking for an exciting new challenge then please do not hesitate to contact the MARS Recruitment team.
