We are seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager for an exciting position at a Chemicals Manufacturing and Production company based in Surrey. Client Details Our client is a Chemicals Manufacturer who have 5 sites in the UK and over 5,000 people working for the business world wide. The regulatory team is critical to the success of the business, enabling them to launch their innovative products in to new markets. The company has ambitious plans and this role is crucial in the realisation of them. Description Reporting to the Technical Director, the role of Regulatory Affairs Manager is to ensure the company's compliance with international regulatory affairs and may also have responsibility for the HSE of an office & laboratory site. The regulatory side of the position is key, with a requirement for compliance with REACh, RoHS, transportation, labelling, packaging, waste and classification of products, as well as other relevant industry regulations. The position will be speaking with other sites in Europe, the US and Asia, ensuring compliance for the company's products across these markets. The role will primarily involve ensuring timely preparation and review of product related regulatory information for our internal and external customers as well as Competent Authorities. This will include daily interaction with various international companies to maintain product dossiers in conformance with European and country specific legalisation. The aim is to ensure that products meet country specific regulations when offered to market. Applicants must be able to communicate to all levels of the business, including senior management, to share knowledge on any pending legislation in order to assess the impact on business. The role is also responsible for co-ordinating the provision of information from our material suppliers and downstream to our customer base, as well as maintaining communications with our customers and certification bodies. Profile We are seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager with at least 5 years experience in Chemicals Manufacturing and Production. Candidates should have a degree in Chemistry, biochemistry or a related science and have excellent communication skills. Candidates should have experience with some or all of the following: SDS generation (preferably with Chemate or a similar system), REACH, biocide regulations, RoHS, as well as regulations relating to the packaging, labelling and transportation of chemicals. Experience with any JDE system (business system) would be seen as beneficial. The role does require occasional travel.
