Due to an internal expansion and to meet the needs of our growing business we are seeking to employ a Technical Project Specialist. Reporting to the Technical Project Manager this exciting role will involve working closely with the IT department, the wider business and third parties to deliver key projects. You will be working in a fast paced environment and will be exposed to leading edge technologies and responsible for bringing innovation to provide business value. Our ideal candidate will have practical knowledge in some of the areas below; Windows Server operating systems Active Directory, DNS, DHCP Hardware, peripherals, mobile devices SQL server, Hyper-V AND VIRTUALISATION Terminal services and thin clients Switch, Router, firewall support and VLANS PowerShell Scripting Bitlocker / TPM Within the role you will be researching and evaluating new technologies and software for feasibility of use in the Rowlands Pharmacy environment and will investigate and resolve technical solutions. In addition you will create workflows in line with business requirements and liaise with stakeholders to ensure that they understand deliverables and will implement technical solutions to meet the operational needs of the business. Ideally educated to degree or HND level in an IT related discipline you will have analytical problem solving skills and have a logical approach to troubleshooting as well as the ability to produce detailed documentation to a high standard, meaning excellent attention to detail and organisation skills are essential. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.30 pm with an unpaid lunch break of one hour.
