There is currently an exciting opportunity to join our London Buildings team for an experience and driven Associate. You will work closely with senior leadership in a position of influence and be involved in winning work and delivering projects. You will be responsible for the development, management and motivation of teams under your leadership, and lead the way in establishing new clients and developing existing relationships. As part of the role you will also coordinate projects from inception, including fee proposals and all through the design phases. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Proactively and ethically motivate and lead project teams to deliver superior outcomes including thinking ‘Beyond the Square’. Promote Robert Bird & Partners to existing and prospective clients. Establish new clients and develop existing client relationships through excellent project delivery and repeat business. Client liaison in conjunction with Project Directors including but not limited to: Meeting and exceeding client expectations; Ensuring client requirements are clearly understood by all company personnel involved in projects; Identifying changes in client requirements as may occur during the course of a project and effect the subsequent design and documentation changes necessary to meet the new requirements. Develop fee proposals. Be actively involved in all projects under your direction ensuring exemplary service afforded to clients at all times. Develop concept design and design philosophy in conjunction with Project Director. Plan and manage project resources. Undertake project coordination and represent the company at consultants meetings etc. Undertake career planning and arrange for effective mentoring to be provided to employees under your direction so that they reach their full potential through career development and personal growth. Supervise staff under your direction and offer pro-active advice in relation to problem solving issues. Actively participate in developing the UK practice including technical excellence, culture, procedures, professional development and continuous improvement. Develop and implement company policy. The successful applicant will have; Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent BEng or MEng (preferred) Chartered Member of IStructE, ICE or equivalent Relevant design and development experience Account management experience A flexible working approach A team-focus with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people at all levels A driven, self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work on your own initiative Please submit application, which clearly demonstrates your experience and suitability for this role.
