At our world class facility in Elphinstone, Tranent (close to Edinburgh), our Bioanalysis and Immunology Department currently has an exciting career opportunity for an Assistant Scientist. Working as an Assistant Scientist, you’ll join a team whose main function is to perform quantitative analysis of drugs and/or metabolites in biological samples (usually fluids such as plasma, serum and urine) and to perform immunological assessments in biological samples (including determination/quantification of anti-drug antibodies and analysis of cytokines and other biomarkers). The biological samples arise from both preclinical and clinical studies aimed at providing data for the development and registration of pharmaceuticals. You will be fully trained in all aspects of these studies, including sample processing, set-up/operation of immunoassay analytical systems, data processing and data review, so that you can play a full role in the conduct of bioanalytical studies.
