We're looking for individuals to join our team of highly skilled software engineers, who have excellent communication skills which they use to share their knowledge and promote best practice. Candidates who are able to demonstrate these qualities would be at distinct advantage. The position will have a certain amount (up to 50%) of line management responsibility. In this capacity the individual will be expected to support the well-being and performance of around up to 3 - 4 members of staff, as well as promote our culture of high quality software engineering. Our Acceptance Criteria For A Development Team Leader We’re looking for individuals who have a strong interest in sharing their knowledge with others, and helping to improve those around them as well as themselves. Typically the person we are looking for would have the following skills and experience: Previous experience of leading a small team (If no previous experience, then a definite desire and ability to move in that direction, and evidence of leadership in another capacity) Experience of mentoring less experienced developers, and willingness to continue. Strong communications skills are a must, as this role will see you liaising with people across the department and business. Solid and demonstrable industry experience o ASP.NET o C# o Web Services o SQL Server 2008/ T-SQL VB (Desirable) Good & demonstrable proficiency in developing according to TDD. Solid and demonstrable experience of application architecture and design. Evidenced experience of good peer review/ pair-programming habits. Evidenced experience of dependency injection and mocking. Evidence of self-improvement and learning. Strong appreciation and implementation of good continuous integration, deployment and delivery techniques. An active interest in the software development landscape, and new technologies and techniques being used in the industry. We are open to using new technology and so an ability and willingness to learn new skills quickly will be advantageous, as well as the drive to experiment, pioneer and prototype new ideas that would benefit the business.
