Due to our client's continued success and business growth an opportunity has opened up for an Operations Manager reporting to the Assistant General Manager. This role will have full accountability for a growing an important contract within a busy site in Greenford. The role will require you to manage and develop the relationship with the customer, lead initiatives for continuous improvement, whilst ensuring and maintaining contractual obligations with full operational responsibility for all the customer's requirements. The Role: • Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, you will ensure that a high standard of customer service is achieved and maintained to the customer’s satisfaction. • Proven experience of proactively leading and developing a safety first culture. • Identify & implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve service/reduce cost to the customer, improve profit margins. • Develop and maintain excellent customer & employee relations, in a challenging environment. • Attend regular review meetings with the customer. • Ensure that a consistent level of communication within the operation is achieved. • Production of Management Information as required to support the smooth management of the operation. • Implement new procedures, where necessary, to enhance service communication and reduce administration. • Day to day management of the operations team, providing leadership and motivation to ensure that they consistently achieve high levels of performance on an ongoing basis. • Ensure that all Best Practices, Human Resource, SHE policies and legislative requirements are adhered to at all times, as well as adherence to reporting timelines. • Develop and enhance best practices of stock and systems management. The Person: • Previous warehouse and stock management experience is essential. • Be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver consistent performance whilst sharing a passion for Health & Safety. • Has the ability to communicate & influence at all levels, using a variety of formats in an effective manner, including presentation skills and report writing. • Works well within a team and develops productive strong working relationships. • Flexibility to respond positively & reliably to internal and external requests. • Financially & commercially astute with experience of working in an “open book” environment. • Ability to “lead by example”. • Demonstrates operational confidence to the customer at all times. • Demonstrates an open mind to problem solving. • Needs to be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and negotiating skills. • Works well under pressure. • Strong customer focus If this sounds like you please apply below.
