ICT Technician - £17,547- £22,434 (dependent upon experience and previous success) Essa Foundation Academies Trust (EFAT) is a growing Multi Academy Trust, which currently comprises of 1 Secondary Academy, 1 Primary Academy and 1 Nursery. As a whole, the Trust provides quality education for over 1000 students, with an emphasis on using ICT to support and enhance Teaching and Learning. The EFAT ICT support team services all establishments within the Trust and the role of ICT Technician plays a vital role within the team. The ICT Technician will work to support two dedicated helpdesks and will also be responsible for assisting the ICT Manager with technical issues and complex installations. As such the successful candidate will have a varied skill set and be feel confident in supporting medium to large-scale project work. Time management and the ability to prioritise tasks is an essential requirement for this role. A logical, analytical problem solver, the successful candidate will also have good technical knowledge to support their troubleshooting abilities. The successful candidate will have a proven background in ICT with a desire to progress within the field. Knowledge of Microsoft products is a strong requirement, in particular Window’s Server, Active directory and network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be familiar with a variety of different network protocols, including wireless DHCP and DNS. A strong Apple background and an avid interest in Apple technology is desirable. As our academies operate a 1:1 iPad scheme, with each student being issued their own iPad, a strong focus on iPads and mobile device management is essential. The position requires strong communication skills and a flexible approach to working hours. The role is offered at grade 4/grade 5. Terms will be discussed with the successful candidate, depending upon experience and previous success.
