The Company: This leading global specialist law firm is recruiting a Business Development Manager to join their London office. The holder will take on the business development and marketing activities for their global Insurance practice in order to promote their profile, develop key account relationships and drive revenue growth. The Responsibilities : · Work with the Insurance practice's sub-sector teams and the central marketing team, to develop and implement international business development and marketing campaigns, including budget recommendations and the subsequent management of approved budget. · Work collaboratively with the central marketing team, ensure the Insurance practice is effectively integrated in international cross-practice business development, communications and development client activities. · Utilise internal and external sources, including working with PSLs and other specialist in-house resources, understand and research the Insurance in order to proactively create business development opportunities, including researching client and target activity as well as trends in specific market segments, and harnessing cross-sell opportunities whenever appropriate. · Draft high impact value-add pitch, RPF/ITT and capability documents which respond to specific client/target requests and position the firm as the go-to lawyers in the Insurance. · Actively manage the Insurance practice's participation in the firm's development client programme, including the continued development and implementation of those client accounts relevant to the practice. · Work collaboratively with the Marketing Communications, devise and implement an effective PR plan with a view to positioning the Insurance practice as a thought leader on particular topics/themes. · Work with the central marketing team, manage the requirements for all marketing materials and activities in support of the business development programme for Insurance practice, including brochures, client/market research, directory submissions, website content, client bulletins/briefings, seminars, conferences, reporting/ROI.
