BMS Controls Engineer – Ipswich ENGIE are recruiting for a BMS Controls Engineer to be based in Engie, Sterling Complex, Farthing Road, Ipswich, IP1 5AP. This is a permanent full time role (working 40 hours per week) and on offer will be a competitive salary. This role will report into the Service Manager. To be successful in this role you must provide the following: Minimum of 3 year history of employment (including information which can be verified for any gaps) If you do not have 3 years previous employment, a professional reference must be provided (obtained from a Medical Practitioner, Officer of the Armed Forces, Teacher, Lecturer, Lawyer, Bank Manager, Civil Servant etc) Proof of identity & eligibility to work in the UK which must include : Photographic I.D - Passport or Driving License. Passport and all relevant work permits or NI Number information / proof and full Birth certificate If no legal photographic documentation is owned then a passport photo which has been signed and verified by any of the above professionals will be required. This needs to show their title, signature and contact details. 2 proofs of address from within the last 3 months (i.e. council tax bill, bank statement, utilities bills). Any required qualifications or driving licence if required for the role. The main duties and responsibilities are: Maintenance & reactive callouts and minor works for controls related faults Assist and co-ordinate electrical refurbishment and alterations relating to controls instalations Programming of BMS software Cylon and Priva Carry out reactive/ emergency calls to minor fabric callouts Part of the 24/7 callout rota which is currently 1 in 15 weeks but under review Liaise with our office helpdesk for extra works costs and information and minor direct involvement with the customer to discuss job progress and status Ensure compliance with the IEE Wiring Regulations at all times, and that the appropriate materials used. To liaise with customers to arrange appointments, access arrangements, discuss works etc. Carry out and complete all works to high quality and in a competent manner. To work with the team to provide information relating to controls technical matters To liaise with other staff, Surveyors and Sub-contractors as necessary on project works Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork including job tickets and timesheets and ensure this is passed to your Supervisor within agreed timescales. To accept progress and complete accurately all works allocated via the mobile working device (PDA’s, Smartphone). Ensure that any required qualifications for your position remain valid and to ensure that any necessary training is arranged and undertaken within the specified timescales. To attend meetings, training sessions and conferences as required. To act at all times in accordance with the Group’s rules, policies, procedures and financial regulations. City and Guilds 236 (part 1 a2); City and Guilds 2382 (17th Edition); City and Guilds 2391 or 2392 inspection and testing. Cylon BMS programming experience essential Priva BMS programming experience essential Experience within a similar role/environment is essential Good Knowledge of working as mobile engineer in Local area Full Clean Driving Licence Computer literate with good skills in word, excel, email, internet etc Able to work on own initiative Good knowledge of SHEQ procedures, risk assessments, work permits etc For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
