Technical Architect - Big Data Other titles: Cyber Architect / Big Data Architect Gloucestershire ££Competitive An exceptional opportunity for a capable Big Data Architect to join the Cyber Division of a leading security organisation has arisen in Gloucestershire or Berkshire This is the chance to join true masters in the art of Cyber Security and InfoSec - if you have relevant experience in managing and maintaining the Hadoop family of open source components (HFDS, MapReduce, HIVE, Zookeeper, YARN, Pig) get your CV in play now To be able to tackle the responsibilities of the role effectively, the successful Big Data Architect will be comfortable in capacity planning and management, carrying out monitoring and analysis of complex processing systems and troubleshooting or fault-finding across integrated network, storage and processing systems. It will prove advantageous if you have further knowledge or experience in: Agile / Scrum methodologies and associated tools (Confluence, Jira, Wiki) Apache Spark, Nifi, Kafka Hortonworks HDP NoSQL databases (ElasticSearch, Accumulo, MongoDB) Graph database technologies; Neo4j and OrientDB Java, SQL, Python or Scala A background within (or consistent interaction with) a defence or MoD environment would also useful. SECURITY CLEARABLE: The successful Cyber Architect working with Big Data will need to undergo security vetting (to the highest level) and therefore will ideally be a British Citizen, or have resided within the UK for the last 10 years.
