My Client is the UK’s market leader in the manufacture of fabric and wallpaper books, swatches and shade cards. They are a One stop shop for customers looking for bespoke Pattern books to be produced from concept, design through to manufacture. A new opening has arisen for an Estimator to join the team. You will be responsible for dealing with a wide range of clients on all levels from large Blue Chip clients down to small job orders. No two projects are the same. An element of project management will be involved on assortment of jobs that come into the business and the successful candidate will ensuring strong relationships are forged with our clients.To carry out the role successfully you must have a good understanding of the Print industry together with excellent estimating skills, the ability to carry out accurate quotations, deal with people at all levels and be versatile in their approach. The candidate will work well under pressure and will be able to work to tight deadlines, assisting in carrying out the project on time and in full. With an excellent eye for detail the candidate will have the ability to estimate quotations quickly and efficiently. Job Role • Your role will be to communicate with customers and understand their needs and be able to provide technical advice and estimates adhering to customers’ requirements • Adhere to all Quality processes and systems defined by the Company to ensure the provision of the highest quality service and products at all times • Take responsibility for your own quality of work / keeping errors to a minimum • Manage time and workload effectively Skills and Experience • Knowledge of pre-press, printing and finishing processes • Knowledge of materials and outwork processes • Thorough knowledge of estimating processes • Written and oral communication skills • Ability to maintain relationships with clients at all levels • Computer literate using Sage and Microsoft packages • Continuous improvement awareness • Managing, organising and prioritising daily workflow schedules for all estimates and tenders • Working closely with sales, clients and internal admin and production departments To be considered for this position, you will have • Estimating background • An Understanding and knowledge of litho, Screen Print and digital print processes • Enthusiasm for customer service and client development A brilliant opportunity for an accomplished Estimator looking for a role within an organisation who take pride in their work and look after their people.
