IT Service Desk Manager – Dynamics NAV software and solutions. Here’s the background; Our client is a leading provider of Dynamics NAV business software solutions and is looking for new supervisor / manager of their support desk team . The company has been growing steadily over the last two years and this is a new function, brought about due to this expansion. You’ll be managing a growing team, with currently 8 professionals. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day coaching, mentoring and team management. You’ll be running appraisals and assisting team members in progressing within the team. You’ll also be working on escalations and difficult client calls. Technically you need to be comfortable with Dynamics NAV, or at least have an application support background with .Net, Java, C#, SQL and other Microsoft development tools. Person Required? You need to be an experienced service desk professional. With a background in application support – ideally Dynamics NAV. You may be an experienced Dynamics NAV service desk professional looking to take a step up, or already be experienced in leading a software /services support desk team. You do need to be comfortable leading and managing a support service desk function that is client facing and the first point of contact for all the company’s core clients. You need to be organized and have the ability to empathize, mentor and lead people. Within a qualified candidate we are looking for; · Prior service desk experience in an applications support environment. · Ability to supervise and lead a team of IT service desk professionals. · Knowledge of Dynamics NAV. · Ability to support and mentor junior analysts. · Strong bias towards software support and development. · Understanding of SaaS and supporting external clients. · A background in managed services. · Strong organizational skills. · Great communication skills.
