We are seeking an experienced Training Manager to play a pivotal role within the HR team based in Manchester. This is a rare opportunity for a resourceful individual to champion the design and delivery of innovative training and management development solutions within the organisation . What the role is: To lead the development of management training within the organisation in support of our ‘Nuture to Grow’ value. You will be responsible for the creation and delivery of core management sessions, defined by the Talent Manager and wider HR team, to managers and colleagues at all levels across Alpha LSG. What you’ll be doing: Production of training plans based upon the business strategy, vision and values You will have full autonomy for the creation of management development training sessions aligned to organisational needs Responsible for ensuring Alpha LSG Managers have access to people skills and personal effectiveness, leadership and management training as appropriate Design and delivery of an end to end learning and development plan, to support managers with their career paths Responsibility of the full training strategy and life-cycle. Working with the Talent Manager to support and guide on training needs analysis with sole ownership for the subsequent creation, delivery and review of sessions across the business To support the Talent Manager with the delivery of succession plans Coaching the internal management teams to ensure motivation and engagement of all employees and to enable managers to identify any training needs which appear within their teams Update the company induction programme to ensure it reflects the company values and creates the right day one impression for new employee’s Produce reports on the effectiveness of internal training to show progression and to make informed suggestions for the future Management of the training budget to ensure, alongside the Talent Manager, that the budget is closely adhered to Implementation of day-to-day learning activities and running of internal learning workshops To drive the employer brand, promoting the company’s vision and values to in order to attract high calibre talent Creation and maintenance of the management development database to track and monitor levels of development achieved What you’ll have: At least 3 years previous training experience Experience of designing and delivering learning and development courses and driving employee engagement Ability to create strong relationships and converse comfortably with internal and external stakeholders up to a senior level Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages, specifically Excel for reporting purposes Full UK driving license for travelling to business unit’s in order to deliver training This job was originally posted as
