Workshop coordinator / Maintenance Manager required for exciting opportunity with my client who are a leading provider of solutions for the provision of modular buildings and equipment for the and infrastructure sectors.

Having been established for over 30 years, they provide turnkey solutions across the UK and overseas to sectors including education, armed forces, major sporting events, prison service, mining and energy etc.
where there is a need for the provision of restaurant and catering facilities my client specialise in providing specialist modular equipment with all of the required equipment.

As a Workshop coordinator / Maintenance Manager you will be working closely with the Operations & Contracts Director to Manage a team responsible for the storage, preparation and repair of units that are either going out or coming back from hire.

Before all modular buildings go out they are prepared to ensure that all the equipment is correctly installed, the Workshop coordinator / Maintenance Manager you will be working with tradesmen including electricians, carpenters, plumbers, maintenance professionals etc to ensure that these are completed to the right quality and within the specified deadlines.

As a Workshop coordinator / Maintenance Manager responsibilities will include:

Main Duties & Responsibilities will include:

- To take tight control of the movement of units into and out of the yard. To be aware of and record at all times where the units are and the condition they are in. All units coming back from hire are always to come direct onto the Quay for inspection, emptying of equipment and cleaning as soon as possible, in order to ensure that units that return excessively dirty or damaged are highlighted immediately to Fleet for clients to be charged promptly.

- To liaise with contractors of all types and ensure a habit of clear written quotations and always working to gain best value for the Company, keeping the Operations and Contracts Director fully and regularly aware of any significant costs arising before the decision is made to buy.

- To lead and manage the personnel in their area of responsibility including clear communication, motivation, performance management, discipline, and training of people to the right standards.

- To plan the preparation of units coming back from hires and going out on hire in advance, in order to ensure a steady an manageable flow of work for the on site Maintenance Team.

- To attend and actively participate in the monthly management meetings, along with providing monthly reports on the activities of the dept in the agreed format on the agreed date.
