The successful candidate will work closely with other related roles at site such as Engineering Managers, central engineers and Operations Managers. Key responsibilities: • To lead and develop the sites workshop facility and overhauls teams to deliver a professional engineering service that is solutions focussed • Manage and control the capex refurbishment and workshop budgets totalling £2M • Control and direct all the engineering refurbishment activity from plant failure to return of asset to duty • Develop and maintain detailed technical specifications to control the equipment strip down and repair process • Control the refurbishment planning activity such that resource effectiveness is demonstrated at best in class levels • Identify improvement opportunities for the overhaul of equipment that delivers a cost effective repair and asset improvement service to the business • Lead the specification, planning, resource management and execution of planned shutdowns/equipment outage events across the site on time and to budget • All associates are expected to participate in EHS initiatives and mandatory compliance training as set forth by Huntsman. Required profile: • Educated to degree level in Engineering with significant site experience • Significant industry experience of the chemicals manufacturing sector would be a distinct advantage • Manufacturing operational experience including manufacturing improvement (driving CI culture change) and delivery of measurable business benefits. • Experienced in leading problem solving teams both cross- functional and within Engineering functions (lead, coach, engage) • Proven ability to think through problems, undertake appropriate analysis and take effective actions • Strong communicator and influencer, skilled at mobilising and inspiring contributors with or without direct line management authority, at all levels in a manufacturing organisation What we offer: Excellent Salary and Benefits.
