Housing Concierge Permanent Full Time (37.5hpw) Salary £16,132 per annum About the service You will be based at Unity House in Leicester which is an abstinence supported accommodation for people in recovery from drugs and substance misuse. About the role You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective running of the service and will be responsible for providing an on-site presence which will include ensuring the safety and security of the building and our clients. You will provide out of hours contact for clients and colleagues alike and you will also monitor visitors to and from the building and promote the use of house rules. Your duties will include, monitoring CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises, general cleaning duties, ensuring tenancy conditions and service rules are adhered to and being the first point of call for clients during the night. Supervision, team meetings and training will be provided during normal office hours and occasional travel to other services for training and support may also be required from time to time. This role provides opportunities for training and career development. In this role you will be work on a rota basis of 3 nights on, 3 nights off from 9pm to 8am. The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please note any offer of employment is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check through the DBS the costs of which are met by Home Group. Who we’re looking for You will possess good communication skills, be IT literate and have the ability to work with both vulnerable and challenging young adults. This is a highly rewarding role where no two days are the same whilst supporting the team in ensuring the best possible support for our clients. You will be able to maintain accurate records, activity logs and provide written or verbal reports as required in the role. With basic computer skills, you will also have a broad knowledge of the issues that affect vulnerable people and demonstrate the commitment to contribute to our high achieving service.
