Architecture and IT strategy will be core to enabling our colleagues to focus more on our customers and increasing revenue by providing unified global IT platforms, multi-channel customer engagement and a consistent customer experience across the globe. This role is responsible for the delivery of global Platform Architecture across group initiatives, regions and platforms. The scope of the role will cover: cloud hosting, servers and storage, networks and security, contact centres and telephony, CRM and integration platforms, desktop and collaboration tools. As a senior member of the team, the successful candidate will have a broad and deep understanding of all areas of infrastructure and extensive experience of implementing cloud-based capabilities (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, CCaaS), they will also have relevant experience leading and managing similar teams in this domain. The Head of Platform Architecture will be responsible for setting direction and be able to engage at all levels of the organisation, to communicate, evangelise and obtain support and sponsorship. The successful candidate will work closely with the delivery and run organisations in IT, making sure builds are completed according to design and strategy and working with Infrastructure and Operations to ensure optimal operation and a successful evolution from traditional on premise and custom-built platforms to open, cloud-hosted platforms.
