Brief Outline: Contract Health & Safety Professional - Main Contracting - £275(Day Rate) - West Midlands. We are seeking a Health & Safety professional for a Long-term contract on a new-build with RC Frame elements soon to begin in the Portsmouth area. This individual will have experience working on large construction sites, and will have a corrective and consultative attitude toward Health & Safety on site. This role will be single-site based for a high-rise student accommodation new-build, and will be a fixed contract running from Dec 2018 until late-2018. About the Client: We are a business with a strong history working within the Student, Commercial and Retail Sectors with projects ranging from under £1m to in-excess of £30m. With strong growth and an extensive history of high-quality new-builds along with a portfolio of blue-chip clients, we want to continue to instil the highest levels of Health & Safety onto each and every one of our sites. My client is looking for an experienced Contract Health & Safety Professional in and around West Midlands. About the Role: Maintaining close working relationships with business teams to provide active support, advice and assistance in the effective implementation of the Health & Safety Policy. Providing support to the Site & Project Managers in making changes to working practices that are safe and comply with legislation. Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented. Assisting with in-house training for managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks. Keeping records of inspection findings and producing reports that suggest improvements. Conducting thorough investigation and recording of incidents and accidents and producing reports of the same to the Head of Health & Safety. Maintaining a working knowledge of all current Health & Safety legislation and any new developments that may affect the construction industry. About the Candidate: You will have experience of working on large construction sites valued upwards of £10m.
