IT Business Intelligence Manager Computing Services Salary: Starting from £39,324, rising to £46,924 plus an additional £10,000 market supplement Reference: DC4361 Role Description: Working within the MIS team of Computing Services, this is a new role with the focus on the development and maintenance of the University’s business intelligence platforms and provision, in order to help the University to make evidence based decisions. Key Accountabilities: You will apply in depth technical expertise to resolve complex problems, generate innovative ideas, drive business intelligence service improvements and develop the relevant strategic, tactical or operational projects. You will significantly influence the strategic direction of the business intelligence provision and be a member of the Business Intelligence Governance Board. You will be responsible for overseeing the operational business intelligence provision including data sourcing, acquisition, integration, warehousing, exploration, delivery, analytics and reporting. Skills: Business intelligence; predictive analysis, data warehousing and visualisation skills Business intelligence thought leadership; introduction, exploitation and promotion Customer management, liaison and prioritisation skills Team leadership of business intelligence specialists and system developers Department Overview: Computing Services is here to help staff and students of the University make effective use of computing for learning, teaching & research. The MIS team is primarily responsible for the delivery and maintenance of corporate and tactical business systems via appropriate project and programme management.
