Our Supply Chain team work hard to ensure the on-going success of Buy It Direct, improving efficiencies within the supply chain throughout thebusiness at all times We’re currently looking for a Supply Chain Administrator to support the fast paced, dynamic team and business that we work within. You must have excellent administrative skills as you’ll be dealing with a wide range of duties from order processing to returns, allowing you to work in a varied and diverse role. Buy It Direct is a dynamic, creative and innovative company, investing heavily in eCommerce. We’re one of the fastest growing and largest independent online retailers, with a turnover of £120 million. We have six well-recognised online brands which is what makes us the success that we are. These include Laptops Direct, Appliances Direct and Furniture123, and to top that off we also run website solutions for Debenhams and Tesco. We continue to grow year on year, so now’s the time to join in What else will you have to do? You’ll support the team with supply chain administration including speaking with our external suppliers and internal departments to obtain key information, managing our purchase orders, chasing credit from returned goods, completion of internal system reports, highlighting stock level concerns to our warehouse and dealing with incoming queries, escalating where necessary to our Supply Chain Administration Manager. There’s lots more to tell you but the main thing is that you’ll get the chance to work on a whole range of tasks and duties to support the department and wider business. So what’s really important to us? We’re really keen to hear from you if you’ve got previous experience working within an administrative role, within a busy supply chain or purchasing department. Equally if you have strong administrative and organisational skills, this is a fantastic first step in to the supply chain department, providing a great opportunity to learn and grow. As you’d expect excellent organisation skills are key, as well as excellent attention to detail. Also it goes without saying that you must be highly PC literate as the majority of your work will be carried out on a computer. Does this sound like the right role for you?
