An Application Services Engineer is required for 6 weeks (likely to be extended) based in Epsom. The Application Services Engineer will join a team deploying applications and supporting them throughout their lifecycle. Key tasks will involve accepting new requests, obtaining media, installing applications, creating SCCM deployments, testing, resolving incidents, software metering and portfolio management. They will also work in a larger Application Services environment, supporting other work processes and offering customers a quality, efficient and effective service. This will include licence server maintenance and management of enhanced rights. The Contract Application Services Engineer will: Accept requests for new applications and challenge requirements where necessary Obtain media and maintain the asset register Install applications remotely for users Set up applications to deploy through SCCM Test deployments Maintain the licence servers including documentation and licence upgrades Process requests for enhanced rights and maintain documentation Set up software metering in SCCM Carry out other portfolio tasks Work to agreed service level agreements using a call management system Update customers on call progress and act as a point of contact Maintain and improve the relevant processes Liaise with other teams to achieve solutions Experience and Requirements We are looking for a confident individual with proven experience of completing tasks to agreed SLAs. The Contract Application Services Engineer will be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation. Experience should include: Experience of working within an ITIL aligned Service Delivery organisation Good Windows 7 and 10 service, file and registry knowledge and an understanding of Windows based applications Working knowledge of Microsoft SCCM 2012 Familiarity with software controls including dongles, key codes and licence servers Some knowledge of scripting in a recognised Microsoft developer language To have an awareness of working in a locked down environment and Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy and Administration Requirements: To have good communication skills and interface well with the business, line and senior management To be customer focused and to display an analytical approach to problem solving To be a team player, working with others to provide a quality service This role is to start asap and will pay £85 per day (PAYE) or £110 per day (Ltd/Umbrella) This job was originally posted as
