A Change Agent with ambition for career growth Achieve World Class Status through teamwork in a Batch Multi-Process Electrical Products Manufacturer which has a large SKU and internal R&D resource Permanent, Full time South Yorkshire Based Base Salary c£70,000 plus bonus, car and broad ranging benefits package This Quality Director is a key appointment in a well-known, highly successful, specialist manufacturing company, a fully integrated subsidiary of a leading multi-national manufacturing group. Operating from a significant site with c500 employees it has an excellent reputation for the innovation, quality and breadth of its products supplying a wide and demanding marketplace in which the requirements for world-class quality are ever present. It develops and manufactures a broad range of electrical products on both a batch and project basis with significant bespoke elements utilising a wide range of materials and an extended supply chain. The Quality Director will be reporting to the on-site Managing Director, the role carries responsibility for the leadership and further development of the quality function working with a professional, experienced and highly focused team of engineers and technical specialists. The Company is committed to maintaining and developing its total quality culture and wishes to appoint a high calibre individual on an upward curve in their career who is capable of leading and motivating in a hands-on way an established quality team. As Quality Director you will have the vision and creativity to ensure a strong working relationship with your colleagues in manufacturing, R&D and commercial functions whilst simultaneously ensuring that longer term quality goals are achieved. You will be a key member of the senior leadership team on site and engage in the strategic discussions to take the business forward. The focus of the Quality Director role is to achieve a right-first-time culture that maximises customer satisfaction levels and you will interface with colleagues in product design, R&D, manufacturing operations, major customers and key suppliers. You will also facilitate change through coaching, mentoring and leadership and ensure that a world-class quality environment is the norm. A highly impressive individual with the ability to match their ambition is required. Graduate qualified, ideally in Engineering, your career will have been formed in world-class manufacturing Groups and it is likely that your progression will have taken you through operations and into a quality leadership position in an ISO9001/ISO Standards and auditing environment. Experience with electrical products and their introduction into a regulated marketplace and the operation of quality systems which have built-in, fail-safe, right-first-time and employee ownership characteristics is highly relevant. You will be able to demonstrate that you have delivered change and introduced a quality culture which is embedded rather than inspected in. CI, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and ERP experience are all highly advantageous. This is a superb career opportunity for a Quality Director with a dynamic, growing global group.
