Our client is a young, fast growing technology company, working in the digital commerce space with some of the biggest brands worldwide. They provide a highly innovative cloud based technology platform which enables customers to engage easier with brands and make informed purchasing decisions with every engagement.

They are now looking for a bright, savvy individual to join their team at their new HQ in central London and help the business grow to the next stage, developing relationships with new brands and growing them into loyal, global customers. This new business and account development role is perfect for an ambitious sales specialist who has already proved themselves in a role selling to marketers or brand managers or who has worked in e-commerce previously and is now keen to join a dynamic and ground breaking software company. The role can be split between working from home and the office and offers flexibility to suit most applicants.

Committed to making a positive contribution, candidates will primarily be responsible for the end to end sales process. This will range from identifying and approaching potential customers via cold calls, social media, emails, or any suitable media, through to presenting our client's unique value proposition and creating value driven proposals that win new business from the world's biggest brands. Nurturing those relationships will then be key to ensure that they derive maximum potential from each one. To help you in this you will be supported by a very experienced Client Services, Technical Operations and Management team. You will define KPIs and then work closely to ensure projects are delivered on time and that KPIs are met. A consultative approach is key; understanding the challenges your customers are facing and then ensuring that the client's solutions are best deployed to overcome them.

Key competencies

- B2B and consultative sales experience with track record of delivering results.
- Passion for and proven track record in finding, educating/pitching and closing high profile deals, then growing those client relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Competent user of MS Office Suite especially PowerPoint.
- Self starter - whilst fully supported by the team, you must be comfortable taking responsibility for your own targets and day-to-day organisation in order to meet those.
- Strong team player with a flexible and can-do attitude. As a young, small team, everybody works together to make things happen and you'll be an integral part of that team. Must be able to collaborate successfully with colleagues.
- Ability to speak major European languages helpful, but not essential.

Sector Knowledge

- Knowledge of, exposure to and relevant contacts in consumer branded goods sector, FMCG, Entertainment, Retail and/or Pharmaceuticals is vital.
- Understanding of digital media/marketing landscape would be a bonus but not essential.
- Knowledge and experience in the e-commerce market and associated value chain would also be a bonus.

Scope of Role

- New business focused - engaging, pitching and closing new business as a first priority.
- Presenting the client to potential new customers - via online meetings and face to face.
- Work with the technical support team and sales team to effectively create and manage successful client campaigns.
- Developing and implementing account plans to manage and expand relationships beyond initial sale.
- Maintaining up to date CRM database and reporting on pipeline & proposals.
