Contracts Manager - MoD/Defence Nr Peterbough , South Lincs £45-55k Benefits (DOE) A Global , high tech systems engineering company currently seek a talented , driven Contracts Managers or a Snr Commercial Officer looking for 1st Management role. This is a genuine career opportunity for a career driven individual - taking responsibility for contractual matters for both defence and commercial contracts (incl sales, subcontracts, service and licensing agreements) . Key Responsibilities : Negotiate and agree scope and terms and conditions with customers and subcontractors Contract management support to all areas of the business and provide expertise and advice on contract terms and conditions. Contractual support to the Bids & Proposal and Sales team by reviewing tenders and requests for quotes to identify key commercial aspects and evaluation criteria. Be the customer interface on all contractual matters and as part of a bid team prepare contract paperwork for approval. Develop contractual risk review and support approvals process through the bid and programme lifecycle Support the development of commercial strategies, identifying and monitoring risks and opportunities Contract negotiations with customers Working closely with Supply Chain, identify and construct subcontracts flowing down terms from the prime contract as appropriate Monitor contracts and sub-contracts, service agreements and licences to ensure that all parties adhere to the conditions Contracts Manager - Skills and Experience required : Despite below - please note The role could be suitable for a senior Commercial Officer looking for their first step into contract management, or a Contracts manager with 2-3 years relevant experience. Formal legal / contractual qualification, or qualified by experience Understanding of contractual terms and conditions Understanding of contracts and terms and conditions used by UK MOD and UK government Proven experience with preparation of commercial responses to contract terms and conditions in a Commercial environment and in the International arena Drafting and negotiation of contracts and agreements, with good working knowledge of contracting and subcontracting UK passport holder in order to obtain relevant security clearances required to hold this post A genuine career development opportunity with a Global Player - Interested ?
