The successful candidate will have the relevant skills and experience specified below for this 6 month temporary contract based in London. The successful candidate will have a valid CTC Clearance or be willing to have one sponsored or processed by the client. Job Description: Take responsibility for managing and updating data models, data architecture, data dictionaries, configuration and reference data catalogues. Work with business leads to identify and document data and reporting requirements. Design and maintain data models and manage data integration, performing data quality analysis and profiling tasks. Track business requirements and ensure that these can be matched from a data perspective. Take ownership of data related design decisions throughout the delivery process, including selection of tools to support data architecture activities. Ensure that data-specific project activities align technically and that the architecture is consistent from a data perspective. Ensure compliance with data related standards and key architectural principles. Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver complex IT projects to tight deadlines. Additional Information: To replace a financial system. Must understand different MI / BI solutions – data modelling etc. Capabilities – Data Architecture / Management. Critical Responsibilities – build virtual or conceptual model for BI financial Systems. Must be aware of emerging tech in BI industries. Deployment of Data Warehouses. Good tech background required – not infrastructure, but application level. Need a solution design to go to market place. Team of 8, reporting to solutions Architect. Essential: - Knowledge of BI/ MI Solutions - Knowledge of Data Architecture - Knowledge of how BI & Data Solutions should work together and producing solutions. - Financial environment experience. Desirable: Financial Background in public sector advantageous. Key Tasks & Deliverables: Deliverables • High Level Design for BI platform • Invitation to tender document for new BI platform • Comparative analysis and recommendations of products for selection • Data Integration Strategy & Framework • Master Meta-Data Model • Data Usage Standards Key Capabilities: • Good understanding of industry standards and best practices in ETL and BI industry • Experience of designing and building ETL pipelines • Experience designing and optimising data integration architectures • Able to map Data Flows and advise on systems integration, be able to map legacy data to new data structures, and source systems to target systems • Able to tie analytics to business value and outcomes • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal and technical illustrations • Able to produce policies and standard for new project Responsibilities • Provide critical thinking and input on vision and strategic approach for new solution • Research emerging technologies to develop BI principles and guidelines • Participate in requirements gathering and producing invitation to tender material • Support the process of selecting suitable solutions and suppliers, working closely with OSCAR Solutions Architect, HMT’s IT team, Commercial and Compliance teams • Prepare technical illustrations of BI data architecture, functionality and process flows • Plan, coordinate and deploy data warehouse and BI solutions • Work with incumbent and new service providers to produce and oversee transition plans • Provide end of line escalation and troubleshooting support to BAU team – ETL, Datastage, This job was originally posted as
