Job Title: Technical Design Lead Location: County Durham Salary: Up to £40k (maybe more for exceptional candidates) Our client is an internationally recognised, award winning SAAS Company based in County Durham who are looking for a Technical Design Lead to join their Digital team. Your Role: Deliver high quality, technically sound solutions to client agreed deadlines, thoroughly testing all output Liaise directly with customers and to represent the business in a professional manner Liaise with and assist Senior Developers in complex analysis tasks, providing technical support and identifying technical solutions Be the technical authority on code reviews and implementations Provide technical input into tenders/proposals Facilitate and advise on the creation and maintenance of documentation for your team Attend training on technologies core to the company and its clients Explore new technologies with the aim of improving our current development architecture Advise on standards and best practices, conducting peer/code reviews Assist in driving the development team and be a go-to- contact for developers Respond in a timely manner to resolve outstanding issues Assist in identifying and implementing processes and systems which optimise work performance Be able to identify risks and minimise impact on existing architecture Regularly participate in technical presentations Be involved in the training and mentoring of new and existing staff Skills Required: A degree in a relevant discipline (desirable) 5 years commercial web design/development experience (circumstances will be considered) Practical experience of the following: Web Architecture HTML5 CSS 3 JavaScript AJAX Code standards and validation, semantic markup and SEO techniques Front end libraries/frameworks (jQuery, Node, Angular etc.) XML/XSLT, JAVA/JSP, PHP, .NET and SQL experience desirable IDEs such as Eclipse, Netbeans etc. Browser dev tools Software design patterns such as MVC architecture Be able to work within a clearly defined process Excellent communication skills, able to communicate directly with multiple project stakeholders.
