Exterion Media will continue to manage TfL’s advertising assets over the next 8.5 years after successfully winning the bid this March. The contract between Exterion Media and TfL is the largest of its kind in the world. Due to the successful bid and transformation programme Exterion Media have created the role Head of TfL services. The two main purposes for the Head of TfL Services will be: The primary operational day to day lead for the successful running of all poster fixing operations across the TfL estate. The role is accountable for delivery of World Class performance across Safety, Service, Quality, Efficiency and people engagement. The development and delivery of operational improvement projects both as part of the new APA contract with TfL as well as self-initiated projects that underpin EM revenue growth through improved service or efficiency projects that drive EM profit KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Deliver business targets in terms of safety, service cost, quality and timeliness of delivery campaigns Raise productivity levels in particular cross track & dry posting. Effectively control absenteeism and achieve better than industry norms across all functions. Install a safety conscious culture; ensuring that at all times H&S policy is strictly adhered to. Create through competency-based audits, supported by training, coaching, mentoring and feedback through appraisals, an effective management team capable of supporting and delivering the cultural change required by Exterion Media Introduce self-managed team working and demonstrate effectiveness’. Develop and foster an environment where the workforce takes ownership for quality, completing the campaign cycle on time, cover for absence through holidays or sickness within their team Liaise effectively with other staff on days/nights to ensure fast response and within 24 hour resolution issues Liaise effectively with TFL and operating partners to resolve issues and create an environment which delights the customer and enhances satisfaction. Contingency, emergency and disaster planning – owning relevant plans and response actions Experience and Background required : Rail / Transport or Field operations management/leadership role with significant experience in logistics/manufacturing/service & support/delivery/supply chain management within a blue chip FMCG organisation with a multi-cultural Unionised workforce. Considerable experience achieving performance improvement through effective delivery of change and projects Managing in a part or fully unionised environment A high performing, well rounded Manager and change leader, with breadth and experience gained in the logistics/manufacturing sector where profile, customer service, quality and lean processes are paramount Candidates will have experience of creating lean organisations and have an inspirational management style and the business skills that will deliver robust, sustained performance Demonstrable experience in leadership, resource allocation and general management Experience in risk identification and assessment of project deliverables This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/66900104
