Job description: Our Business Heat and Power Solutions Department within E.ON UK in Coventry is looking for a Business Heat and Power Solutions Engineering Performance Manager. BHPS Engineering & Performance Manager Make your mark at an exciting new E.ON business Engineering and Performance Manager Location: Coventry E.ON is a global provider of specialised energy solutions. Right now, we’re looking for a talented, experienced engineer to join our new Business Heat and Power Solutions (BHPS) division part of EON’s Business to municipalities business function. Your core responsibility here will be to develop and deliver engineering and performance strategies for our CHP and biomass plants, including engineering maintenance strategies to help meet the requirements of the business. As part of that you’ll need to measure performance on a regular basis and liaise with key stakeholders across the organisation. You’ll have crucial maintenance and regulatory responsibilities as well. First and foremost, you’ll ensure BHPS’ health, safety and environmental processes are fit-for-purpose, and conform to both internal and external regulations. Part of that will be carrying out effective audits of our sites on a regular basis. You’ll also help to lead and support BHPS’ Engineering, Performance teams, ensuring they continuously deliver maximum value for the business Finally, it’s essential that you seek to improve BHPS’ systems and processes. You’ll lead the operation to optimise the commercial performance across every BHPS generating asset, as well as working to embed a performance-centred culture across the division. Related to this, you’ll also play a crucial role in the identification and mitigation of risks in the BHPS portfolio. A core part of this will be helping to produce the annual Asset Engineering Risks and Opportunities (AERO) report. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented engineer with extensive experience of power station operations to take the next step in their career. Required profile: Essential skills: •Educated up to degree level in Engineering. •A safety management qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent). •An extensive understanding of power station operations. •Excellent communications and team management skills. •Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships. Desirable skills: •Customer and commercially focused •Possessing or working towards a business management qualification. •Extensive contract management skills and experience.
