Prospero Engineering have a fantastic opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a highly successful global engineering company in the West of England. Role Outline This role, working within the Software Development Team and reporting to the Software Engineering Manager is for a motivated software engineer to develop embedded software functionality in C. High level design & Functional design Embedded Coding Creation and adaptation of preexisting module tests and Module Testing Requirement, Code and Test Reviews Basic hardware/software interaction debug Key Applicant Requirements Proven significant experience developing high quality Embedded C, or Embedded C++, with ability to work with a minimum of supervision Automotive protocol experience such as CAN Use of tools such as CANoe Understanding of 'low-level' software for embedded applications, ideally for 16/32-bit microcontrollers Excellent Communication Skills Flexibility to adapt in a fast paced working environment Team player, with motivation and enthusiasm to deliver projects on time with quality A degree in Computer Science or relevant Engineering discipline is essential. Autosar Configuration Autosar Software Component development. Greenhills Integrity OS Renesas RH850 and V850 microcontrollers Freescale iMX6 microcontroller Embedded software integration with HMI Tool chains such as Kanzi, EB Guide, Altia, QT Advantageous Knowledge and practice of automotive SPICE Use of Mantis, SVN, MKS and in particular RTC Familiarity with Fujitsu Microcontrollers Display technologies including LCD, LED, TFT and stepper motor drivers Knowledge and practical use of Vector Cast Familiarity with EB Guide Experience of MKS, Rational Team Concert, Mantis and Subversion Benefits Flexible working week: Core hours 8-5 Monday-Thurs. 9-12:15 Friday 25 days annual leave plus statutory entitlement Life assurance of 4 times’ annual salary Pension scheme Please note all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
