Job title: Domestic & Commercial Gas Engineer - HVAC Division Locations: Exeter, Cullompton and Honiton. Responsible to: Contract Manager Duties & responsibilities: The Gas Safe Engineer will report to Gas Safe Supervisor and departmental Contract Managers. The Engineer will be required to attend a combination of domestic and retail outlets / public sector premises i.e. libraries, schools, college, hospitals etc . The work will be a combination of reactive (60%) & planned works (20%) and Install works (20%). The Engineer will ensure that operational & compliance issues are addressed and maintained as necessary which could include varied applications to include: 1. Planned Maintenance, Install, full investigation and repair of Indirect and direct forced Burners/Boilers 2. Commissioning of systems 3. Domestic breakdowns / repairs / installations 4. Install and purging of commercial gas pipe work 5. Gas Safe Certification The provision of documentation & information to enable management in preparing quotations, reports and sourcing materials. Ensuring that key personnel are adequately informed regarding task status updates. The role will include both pre and post work surveys. Duties will include participation on call out rota (1 in 7 weeks) working nights will be required on occasions to suit the needs of the business, must be prepared to go the extra mile. The individual must be IT literate, good time keeper and advanced CRB check will be a requirement. Personal Specification: Essential Qualifications and Experience: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TCPCP1, CCN1 CENWAT, MET1, CPA1, LPG – CENLP1 OFTEC 101 & 102 Domestic ACS Highly organised and able to plan, prioritise and work under own initiative to achieve results. Excellent communication skills. Understand this is something done with engineers not to engineers.
