Responsibilities Our vision is for IT to be a valued business partner, providing next generation services to our students and staff. As an experience desk top specialist you will be working with our projects and end user team during a period of change and transition to help drive the delivery of innovative desktop services. You will be responsible for the development and day to day support and administration of the managed End User Computing services to provide greater accessibility and, high availability that are, reliable and secure. You will work with the End User Support teams to understand root cause of incidents and problems that will resolve issues in an effective and timely manner to enhance the user experience. Experience You will bring to the role extensive, experience of relevant IT best practice and have: Experience of working on Window 7 and Window 10 rollouts Extensive knowledge of end user computing services including Office 365, application packaging, user environment, VDI and BYOD Experience of working in a physical and virtual environment including in-depth technical knowledge including VMWARE, Jukebox, RES, Active Directory, Microsoft and MAC desktop management infrastructure or other relevant technologies Experience of managing and implementing innovative desktop technologies and services in a large user base environment. Person Profile Highly developed interpersonal skills with experience of engaging with stakeholders at different levels within the organisation with the ability to influence outcomes Self-motivated ‘can-do’ attitude, with the ability to work under pressure and take ownership of problems, organize, prioritize and monitor own work to meet deadlines whilst maintaining standards. Ability to operate in a changing and uncertain working environment demonstrating adaptability to accommodate new ideas and ways of working.
