A fantastic opportunity for an Indirect Buyer to join a leading organisation in Coventry has become available. The Non-Production Buyer will support the business and Procurement function through indirect purchasing related activities focusing on Food, catering, events, stationary and IT just to name a few. The Buyer will be obtaining and analysing data, coordinating relevant tenders/quote requests and interpretation data to make strategic purchasing recommendations to the business. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years in purchasing, will have worked within a manufacturing organisation and will have a strong knowledge of strategic purchasing skills. Role responsibilities of the Indirect Buyer: • Obtaining, collating and analysing data to support defined procurement spend (such as food, catering, events, stationary etc). • The creation of relevant forms and templates for tendering, interpretation and presentation of data. • Identifying suppliers and issuing tenders/quote requests as appropriate. • Preparation of relevant business case documents (Cost/Benefit analysis) supporting sourcing decisions and outsourcing projects. • Working with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure the best quality and most cost effective solutions are offered to the business. • Agreeing commercial terms and conditions leading to supply, ongoing performance management, relationship management, supplier reviews, supply scheduling, continuous improvement activities and resolving pricing/invoicing queries. • Supporting the continuous improvement process, and streamlining of company processes. • Working towards the delivery of departmental and personal objectives, including cost savings and improvement projects. Person Specification of the Indirect Buyer: • Previous experience in an Indirects/Services Purchasing/Procurement role • CIPS part/fully qualified • Commercially aware • Problem solving skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Confident in analysis and presentation of data • Self-motivated • Excellent organisational skills • Confident in the use of MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel Salary of the Indirect Buyer: • To £35,000 depending on experience This role will be well suited to you if you have held a role as a; Junior Buyer, Buyer, Senior Buyer, Procurement Professional, Sourcing Executive, This job was originally posted as
