We are looking for a Quality Manager to develop and drive world class quality and best practice in our manufacturing, packing and supply chain operations. You will achieve this through close collaboration with managers and peers and face to face engagement and training. In addition to ensuring legislative compliance, you will also be at the forefront of creating an environment that is safe, quality-focused, and meets all of Hotel Chocolat’s technical policies and standards. Your role will incorporate: Establishing working relationships with the team and driving a culture of Quality Assurance Developing our 12 month rolling Quality Management objectives to maintain compliance and protect the business Develop and sustain the Quality Management Systems in line with the required industry standards (BRC, HACCP, Organic) Engage and inform the operational management structure through regular monthly updates/meetings Adopting a consultant on the inside approach with operational teams, consulting on BRC, GMP, safe and legal while supporting the teams growth and development to implementation Implement quality training programs for key quality and manufacturing personnel and supply chain Drive the regular internal and process audits of the QMS and issue and manage corrective actions for non-conformances derived from manufacturing process, suppliers or customers complaints and identify and act upon trends to prevent non-conformances Measure quality of chocolate and product output and engage with development to improve specifications, quality and shelf life Support the Technical Manager as required and deputise in absence Maintain all the due diligence infrastructure, drive specific areas including; policies, doc control, supplier approval, pest control, etc. Your Key Attributes: Bachelor’s degree in food science or similar related subject, or equivalent work experience of Quality Management Suitable for a manager who is looking for a new challenge or a quality supervisor looking for the next step Manufacturing background is essential Lead Auditor for ISO 9001/22000 would be an advantage Detailed understanding of BRC standard (issue 6 or issue7) Experience of implementing HACCP Proven Continuous Improvement (CI) capability Excellent communicator with ability to influence and motivate others Driven individual with a positive attitude and open to change Strong commercial awareness – ability to balance the needs of the business with safety, legality and quality People who work at Hotel Chocolat are passionate about what we do, and we all strive to deliver in line with our company values; Authenticity, Originality and Ethics.
