The Company: My client are a long-established privately owned instrumentation and engineering company supplying instrumentation products and added-value services via their world-class manufacturing facility to the Process and related Industries in the North of the UK. The Role: Electrical installation, commissioning, fault finding and survey of electrical systems. Initially work duties will revolve around instrumentation services but are expected to develop in to more electrical biased opportunities as they look to grow this part of their business. Commission, calibrate and repair onsite instrumentation. To liaise with the service co-ordinators to ensure that all spares, tools and paperwork is available to enable them to carry out their duties. To liaise with customers when required prior to executing the job to ensure full understanding of the nature of the job and also to advise estimated time of arrival and of any delays which may be anticipated. To adhere to site safety rules, permit to work systems and carry out risk assessments. To work to local and industry procedures and to comply with industry codes of practice and company quality management system. To provide timely and accurate job reporting in accordance with company service report forms. Occasional overnight stays. Requirements: Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC (or electrical equivalent 17 th edition) level preferably in electronics, electrical, or instrumentation & control. Knowledge of PLC’s, Scada systems and HMI interfaces would be of benefit. Ideally will have completed a relevant Instrumentation / Process Control apprenticeship Problem solving and diagnostic skills. To be highly self-motivated and have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. A flexible approach to working activities. Excellent Communication skills, both verbally and written. The Ability to develop good working relationships with customers. Good organisational skills, excellent punctuality and timekeeping. Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points.
