Offers a Competitive Salary Overall Purpose of the Role: To support departmental managers and training champions in ensuring all operational departments (Production, Warehouse (Intake and Despatch), Quality, Technical, Packaging and Maintenance) standards, quality and compliance training is kept up to date and accurate records are maintained. Key Tasks and Responsibilities § To induct all new employees in to the department, ensuring full training and support during their first 12 weeks. § Supporting departmental managers and training champions in the consistent delivery of Standard Operating Procedures and policies training across all areas within operations. § Supporting departmental managers and training champions in amending and revising SOP’s, Company policies. § Supporting through mentoring and coaching the departmental training champions. § In conjunction with departmental managers and training champions ensure that all training records (including competency checks sign offs) are kept up to date. § Maintain the training system training logs for all operational staff. Ensuring the system reflects accurate up to date training records. § When required -run group training sessions through the learning and development system. § Ensure the job roles within the learning and development system adequately reflect the individual department needs and core essential training. § Participate in internal and external audits by ensuring that all training records are up to date and accessible. § Provide a framework and structure to review progress of training and address next steps using a weekly training meeting forum. § Advise on specific training requirements for individuals and supporting in identifying training needs. § Occasional nights and weekend work may be required to ensure training is consistent throughout all shifts . Hygiene and Housekeeping Responsibilities Ensure compliance with hygiene rules and requirements. Maintain a hygienic, clean and tidy working environment at all times. Ensure conformance to work wear requirements. Positively promote a culture of hygiene and housekeeping. Environmental Responsibilities Understand and comply with the company environmental policy. Co-operate with management on environmental matters and implement improvements in your area. Person Specification Essential Skills/Experience Excellent planning and organisational skills. Previous experience in a training role or holding training responsibilities as part of another role Problem solving and analytical skills. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. Microsoft office experience - word, excel. Previous experience of working in an office/administration environment within Fresh Produce / Food Production / FMCG environment. Good verbal and written communication skills. A keen eye for detail. Flexible approach to work. Experienced with handling data in databases. Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain working relationships with both internal and external contacts. Team player. Positive, ‘can do’ attitude. Ability and willingness to challenge and suggest alternative solutions. Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications Behavioural safety training. Experience with Rubicon ERP systems.
