Jemca Car Group are currently offering a fantastic opportunity as a Panel Beater to join our team in our Croydon dealership, which has won the National Bodyshop Award for Toyota two years running. This role would suit someone who has an interest in developing their motor repair knowledge and efficient labour productivity. A Panel Beater will work to repair vehicles with the customer in mind at all times. Knowledgeable and professional, you’ll work in your team to maximise workshop utilisation and productivity, delivering excellent quality to the customer and without compromising safety. You will have the drive and determination to succeed in a demanding environment. To qualify for this position you must have a proven track record in body/paint repair of motor vehicles. Your Skills… Must have ATA Panel qualification or equivalent Ensures effective & timely communication methods adopted. Effective interaction through communication with fellow technicians, estimators and management. Trained or seeking training within areas of responsibility. To have undertaken supplementary training courses. To have experience in the body/paint repair of motor vehicles. To adhere to manufacturers' and/or estimated repair times. To report all faults, defects noticed whilst working on vehicles. Report and compile supplementary work requests when additional parts required. To take care of equipment, special tools and personal tools. To accurately report all components, materials and consumables used. The role in more detail… To ensure customer satisfaction is achieved in the repair of motor vehicles of all types. To ensure acceptable quality standards are maintained throughout the repair process. To carry out such work in a safe, economic, productive & efficient manner. Ensure all repairs/replacement is carried out in line with full adherence to technical standards (Tech doc). To employ such knowledge and skills as may be required to reinstate vehicles to an acceptable standard. Relationships with supervisors, estimators, parts, apprentices & fellow technicians. Maintain and ensure all dry & wet consumables are used and accounted for. Carry out the repair process in line with Manufacturers standards, and utilise the tools/supplies in a way in which they were designed/intended to be used.
