Operations Director - Customer Experience - Exhibitions Our events are entering a new era of production; with technology itself taking centre stage, and we are looking to redesign how we deliver our events putting the attendee experience at the heart of what we do. Reporting into the Group Portfolio Director for the TMT Division, the role is responsible for the successful delivery of the future vision of this group of 70 events. This uniquely entrepreneurial role is to lead the vision, development, production, packaging and presentation of a breakthrough business-to-business event that integrates professional development with personal fulfilment to create an unique experience and one no attendee will forget. The candidate should be a highly collaborative, creative professional who is customer centric and results oriented. The position requires a forward-thinking, innovative, 'big picture' mentality and commercial business sense. Exceptional leadership, project management and interpersonal skills are required. Role Details The role is responsible for the following areas: 1. Strategic planning and direction of key exhibitions 2. The overall design, delivery and success of the event production and features 3. Liaison and coordination between various teams: a. Event creation b. Audience delivery c. Sponsorship and exhibition sales d. PR and brand awareness e. Director of Operations 4. Delivering exceptional attendee experience This means that they are expected to deliver revenue growth and increased operating profit through: the development of high quality, content rich experiences proactive management of the brand and its position putting the customer at the front of all event decisions Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have success at event delivery level within the commercial conference world, with in-depth knowledge and experience of the business. Ideally they will have: experience of successfully designing and onsite delivery of large scale events be a 'customer first' person who understands what it takes to make exceptional events happen experience of creativity within events, seeing the vision through to implantation and delivery to a budget negotiating suppliers and contacts Personality Profile Despite the variety of backgrounds, experience levels, cultures, seniorities and personalities, we expect everyone to have one thing in common: that they are deeply passionate about what they do.
