We have an exciting new opportunity for a Consultant Electronics Engineer. We're looking for talented, insightful and ambitious electronic engineers to join a growing team. You'll take responsible roles in the development of new medical devices by drawing on your engineering insight, analysis, creativity, initiative and drive. The team is based on the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border, with the added bonus of having a rail station on the doorstep, with direct links to both Cambridge and London. What You'll Be Doing: You'll take ownership of and responsibility for client requirements by responding to detailed technical challenges and selecting the most appropriate solution. Enabling new concepts in medical devices through electronics, including sensors, actuators, user interfaces, data handling and communication links. Providing technical and opinion leadership as you contribute to project teams, client organisations and business presentations. Working collaboratively, your approach, reliability and dedication will enable you to effectively integrate with teams of engineers, designers and physicists both inside the team and in the client's organisation. You'll establish and maintain high standards of performance throughout your work, based on your ability to effectively resolve and communicate complex technical solutions. Your work will display quality, honesty and integrity at all levels, in particular to address the standards of design rigour that are required to develop successful devices. What We're Looking For: A 1st or Upper 2nd class degree from a leading university in electronic engineering or related discipline. You'll have a very strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and physical principles A track record of creating insight that sets the direction in research, technology or advanced product development projects over a period of years Broad skills in analogue and digital circuit development, from concept and prototyping, to refinement, qualification and transfer into high-volume production A strong ability to communicate the value of your work confidently and authoritatively to senior business leaders across client organisations You'll have the ability to lead and a drive to succeed demonstrated by your professional experience A desire to improve the quality of your work, to develop new skills and to take increasing responsibilities This job was originally posted as
