We are looking for a Business Development Manager to increase BluGem's market share across our core Telecom products in the B2B Corporate market. The main focus will be for mobile and fixed-line test solutions, which we are one of the global market leaders.

Between £25k and up to £38k depending on experience, with twice yearly bonuses

About BluGem
We are a telecoms testing company working with some of the largest mobile and fixed-line telecom operators in the world, we have customers in the UK, Asia, Africa, Middle East and South America. We work with some of the largest tier 1 and tier 2 Telco companies and the latest technology.

You will be part of a friendly and relaxed working environment, and work within a small team. Working hours are 8.30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.

Job Description
We require the services of a skilled, dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will have previous sales experience in the B2B communications market, with a proven track record of selling Telco solutions (preferred) and/or other technical solutions.

The role is to work within the Sales team to support the following role requirements:

- Winning new business from new and existing clients

- Developing and managing a list of target customers

- Working as a team and individually to complete formal customer RFPs/RFQs

- Maximising the opportunity by selling the complete BluGem product portfolio to every client

- Understanding our clients' business to identify improvements technology will deliver, and be clear on their procurement milestones

- Building a relationship so that BluGem is their partner of choice

- Gathering the correct client data so that each meeting becomes a future business opportunity

- Building a pipeline of sales opportunities so that targets will be exceeded

- Maintaining the BluGem sales system so that your customer details and the opportunities are reflected accurately

- Communicating with colleagues and engaging support when needed

- Being an ambassador forBluGem at all times and maintaining a professional image.

Skills and Aptitudes

- Excellent interpersonal skills with a "can do" attitude and ability to build and nurture customer relationships

- Able to understand and learn new technical products and effectively sell bespoke solutions

- Excellent presentation, email and telephone sales skills

- Excellent verbal, numerical and written communication skills

- Effective organisation skills, particularly in the management of multiple customers

- Able to use own initiative and make informed decisions

- Able to work under pressure with time constraints

- Passionate and committed to succeed

Job Knowledge and Experience

- Proven and target-beating sales experience

- 3 years+ Telecoms or Technology industry experience preferred

- Field sales and/or Corporate Business Development Management experience

- Candidates will ideally be qualified to a degree level in a related discipline and be eligible to work in the UK without restriction

Special Requirements/Additional Information

- Must be prepared to travel and visit clients both within the UK and abroad
- Full UK Driving License and own vehicle transport
- Mileage rates for business travel are paid at standard HMRC rates
