Business Development Exec - Consulting and Training Solutions


Lead the company's outbound and inbound sales activities with existing customers and prospects to grow their product and training business and achieve the company's sales and growth targets.

You will also be responsible for generating leads and new business through focused sales and marketing activity, including supporting events, campaigns, and exhibitions, ensuring the sales pipeline is built out as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Core responsibilities

- Generating interest and securing qualified meetings with prospects through targeted face-to-face, telesales and email communication

- Ensuring proactive networking with Human Resources, Talent and OD decision-makers and leaders as well as independent/non-corporate Accredited Partners.

- Replying in a timely and effective manner to all requests for information from prospects interested in the company's products and training

- Identifying customer needs and co-ordinating responses to tenders to optimise business wins

- Ensuring consulting and coaching sales with existing client are optimised

- Working with the internal team to generate accurate sales forecasts and build a strong pipeline of opportunity

- Preparing for and leading product and training sales meetings with the consultants and directors to review progress and ensure sales effectiveness

- Ensuring the d/base is kept up to date and timely and accurate reports are supplied to the team to monitor progress and improve performance.

- Working with the Marketing Executive and consulting team to ensure the marketing plan is effectively implemented to raise awareness of our brand and generate sales leads.

- Working in close partnership with the Consulting and Coaching team to maximise consulting and coaching sales

- Working closely with the Business Development team to implement effective use of Salesforce (CRM system)

Key measures of success

Product and training sales performance against plan

- Effectively leading and motivating sales activity with other team members

- Qualified meetings with target prospects

- Accurate sales forecasting and effective use of Salesforce CRM

- Ensuring delivery against product and training sales plan

Key performance indicators

- Invoiced revenue - monthly targets agreed on a quarterly basis

- External meeting generation - a minimum of 4 new face-to-face meetings with strategic corporate decision makers scheduled each week

- External meeting attendance - a minimum of 3 external client meetings attended each week
- External Networking event attendance - a minimum of 1 external networking event attended per month (from approved event list)

Person specification

- A proven track record in telesales and sales generally, ideally focused on B2B or equivalent environment

- Achievement oriented, results-driven person focused on achieving exceptional results

- Strong initiative and a proactive approach to finding & closing opportunities

- Exceptional relationship building and influencing skills

- Highly efficient and organised

- Ideally have good capabilities and experience using Salesforce

- Enjoyment of a varied, challenging workload

- Self-sufficiency

- Energetic and enthusiastic

Job Offer

A basic salary of £30,000 - £35,000 plus excellent OTE and benefits package
