Building from their established position in the market as a technology and solutions provider, my client is looking to drive its business further and increase its Infrastructure team by recruiting an experienced civil or structures engineer to grow the UK sales within highways and railway sector.

Working closely with engineering consultants, contractors and asset owners during construction, maintenance and strengthening contracts you will be able to evaluate their structural inspection and asset management needs and propose suitable solutions from my clients wide range of services and products.

Services and products include;
*Visual bridge inspection
*Underwater inspection
*Use of cameras and drones
*Non Destructive Testing (NDT) for defects and flaws
*Site radiography
*Strain gauging
*Structural monitoring
*Wire break monitoring
*Load testing
*Concrete and material testing
*Management of working at height
*Confined space management and rescue
*Minor engineering and maintenance works

Project work typically ranges from £20k - £1m+, which can involve work on some of the UK and world's most famous bridges and structures.

Working within a successful sales and marketing team, BD/sales manager will be partly responsible for delivering against sales requirements in the Structures Sector.

The job is based out of Bridgend, South Wales with travel being an essential part of this job, visiting customers and sites several days a week as required. There will also be a requirement to ensure client accounts are appropriately managed and ensuring that operations and sales interfaces are maintained to seamlessly support new and existing clients. There may be opportunities to travel overseas.

Direct responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
*Adhere to support and actively promote the company HSEQ ethos
*Adhere to and support the company policies and values
*Develop appropriate sales plans for their area to meet the budgetary requirements of the appointed area and support the overall company budgetary commitments
*Develop the sales plan to ensure that adequate long term and short term wins are highlighted in the sales funnel in the sales database
*Regularly upkeep the Maximiser sales database (CRM system) to demonstrate the live tracking of opportunities
*Sell, promote and communicate the company services to current and potential new markets
*Build, manage and maintain existing client and company Operational relationships
*Actively seek intergroup service line opportunities to the benefit of the company and work with counterparts from other business areas within the business to land these opportunities
*Actively work with infrastructure clients and potential clients to understand their requirements and feed these back to the Infrastructure Sector Lead within the company in order that potential new service offerings can be developed or adjusted to meet these requirements
*Provide direct feedback to the operations departments on client perceived satisfaction with our offerings and deliveries
*Assist with and direct where appropriate our proposals offerings to ensure the offering meets with what has been sold or expected by the client
*Manage own diary to meet sales visit requirements
*Where appropriate attend presentations, industry forums and seminars for networking, keeping this in balance with direct sales visits to clients

Job Requirements:-

*Minimum of 10 years graduate engineer with experience working on bridges and undertaking or managing structural inspection
*Chartered or working towards chartership ideally
*Dynamic, energetic, self-motivated outgoing personality
*Technically minded individual capable of understanding structural behaviour, loadings, materials and defects
*Comfortable and accomplished communicator at all levels internally and externally.
*Any experience of inspection, testing or structural monitoring is an advantage
*Any experience of technical sales role an advantage but not essential
*Good commercial acumen
*Clean driving licence and passport
