Our client is a highly reputable construction company who are on a number of new build and refurbishment projects in the North West. They are a second tier, medium sized contractor who are heavily involved with education and healthcare projects across the UK.

Applicants who have experience working on either educational or healthcare projects would be ideal but not essential. This company already have a well established name in the industry with a number of projects across the North West live and soon to open. They do not have the red tape, process driven ethos most larger contractors have and contact with the companies Commercial Director is easily available.

Your duties would include;

- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client;
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
- Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
- Performing risk, value management and cost control;
- Advising on procurement strategy;
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;
- Preparing and analysing costings for tenders;
- Allocating work to subcontractors;
- Providing advice on contractual claims;
- Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments;
- Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
