An Embedded software engineer is needed as a core part of the team tasked with the development of software for touch technology products and solutions. The job will involve developing ARM based Microcontrollers (in C) for their core line of software (low level drivers and touch technology).

This would suit an Embedded Software Engineer with industry experience of developing product based technology using Embedded C (ideally to MISRA guidelines) for Microcontrollers.

Skills and experience:

- Extensive practical experience of developing production C code for microcontroller-based systems, ideally to MISRA C guidelines.
- Creating tools to help customers tune the haptic feedback to their requirements.
- Familiarity with all aspects of software development and tools e.g. IDEs, source control, defect management etc.
- Preferably, experience of developing software solutions for PC-based and tablet-based environments (C++, .NET, Java).

The ideal candidate will be familiar will all aspects of embedded software development, have a passion for technology and how that can be applied to real world application.

This is a Cambridgeshire-based technology startup providing enhanced human-machine interfaces by bringing touch panels and displays to life. They have strong patent protection, and are generating interest among the largest global technology companies. Their target markets are initially automotive, industrial control, medical and point-of-sale, expanding to consumer electronics over time, so the challenges will keep an Embedded Software Engineer on their toes!

In return you will receive a salary of between £40-55,000 and would be joining a company growing each year with no signs of slowing!
