Estio Technology are working on behalf of a well-established cloud hosting, IT support, colocation and network connectivity provider in South Manchester to find a junior network service desk engineer to jointheir 24x7 NOC team.

This role involved being the first point of contact for customers with issues and taking ownership of technical issues, liaising with senior engineers to help close tickets, as well as drawing on your own technical knowledge as you develop your skills in network troubleshooting and networksupport.

Required Skills

- 1+ years experience as part of a customer focused IT support / service desk team
- Interest in developing your skills in the areas of networking, IP Routing, performance monitoring and cloud related support.
- Understanding of WAN technologies
- Knowledge of OSPF and BGP principles
- Exposure to routing and switching hardware, and routing protocols
- Experience of working in an ITIL and ISO compliance environment

Personal Requirements

- Eager to learn new systems and technology
- High energy as well as excellent customer service skills, verbal and written
- Ability to prioritise your own workload, and escalate issues up as necessary
- Driving license will be key to future progression through the company (either have or aim to have driving license)
