An excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager is now available with a recognised and leading education organisation based near Redruth.

Watson Evans Associates are keen to receive applications from people with experience of managing the day to day finances in either education, academies or charities, who are looking to further their career by joining a progressive and evolving team. The position will be offered on a full time, permanent basis with a competitive starting salary, likely to be between £25,000 and £28,000, and accompanied by a fantastic benefits package.

Working under the guidance of the Senior Management Team , you will have previous experience working in a busy finance department, and a formal accountancy qualification (AAT or above) would be welcomed but not essential. Experience of working in schools, academies or charities is necessary, or as a minimum, a demonstrable desire to move into this sector. Applications from candidates moving out of accountancy practice, with experience of working with clients in these areas would be very welcome.

Responsibilities will include:

· Preparing monthly management information to include cash flow projections, budget monitoring reports etc

· Control of all day to day financial activity

· Support departmental budget holders by managing and monitoring budgets

· Bank reconciliations

· Maintaining asset register

· Staff supervision

With your high standards of team work and communication, you will have already experienced leading a section of a busy finance team and will be well used to a fast paced office environment. This opportunity could represent a chance to step up into a management role or perhaps be your first position outside of accountancy practice.
