Our Client, an IT Service Provider/Project Delivery Consultancy based in Ipswich is recruiting an experienced, delivery focused Project Manager, ideally from a Consultancy background.

The successful candidate will manage a range of high profile projects on behalf of their blue chip client base.

As a PRINCE2/SCRUM certified (or equivalent) PM, you will have extensive experience of delivering major software or systems integration projects (incorporating technologies such as Java and/or Microsoft.NET).

The role requires a PM who lives within commuting distance of Ipswich, where you will spend 2 days a week, with the remaining time being spent on client site, primarily around London and the Home Counties.

This is an excellent opportunity within the Project Consultancy arena, working for a company that rewards and values its staff.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience of managing high profile projects, in more than one company, across a range of business sectors (ideally including one or more of our key sectors: - Utilities, Telecommunications, Insurance, Transportation or Financial Services)
A proven track record in delivering projects of varying scale and complexity within challenging timescales and budgets
Led software delivery projects through the full project life cycle using the Microsoft and/or Java technology stack
Prince 2 Practitioner and Scrum Master certifications with experience of having applied these frameworks
A broad technical awareness incorporating technologies such as Java/J2EE, Microsoft .NET and SOA based integration platforms
Extensive experience of managing teams of various sizes through the full project life cycle
The ability to creatively plan to meet outside constraints with a high level of experience of MS Project
Experience of organising and managing all the usual controls (cost, resource, risks, issues, quality, scope, plans, stakeholders, comms, etc)
Experience of working with and managing third party suppliers
Strong customer relationship management experience
Ability to deal successfully with staff at all levels within an organisation with good diplomacy and negotiating skills
A willingness to be flexible in terms of work location and to undertake work at client sites as and when required


PRINCE2 qualified
Certified Scrum Master (desirable)
APM or PMI certification (desirable)
