Working for an energy business in central London the settlements analyst main role is to investigate trading disputes, collate settlement data on the cause and outcome, and notify participants and the relevant decision making bodies.

A very technical role you will need practical experience of working in the UK electricity markets, knowledge of CVA and SVA and trading disputes ideally, a sharp analytical approach and a high level of personal integrity and professionalism.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Investigating and determining the validity of Trading Disputes.
- Liaising with participants to determine the root cause of errors in the Settlement, acting as first point of contact.
- Presenting the findings to the relevant decision making bodies (Trading Disputes Committee (TDC), Q8 Committee, Performance Assurance Board (PAB), etc.) as appropriate.
- Producing Trading Dispute statistics for internal and external use.
- On-going review of the Trading Disputes process, providing support to participants to develop their understanding.
- Undertaking Technical Assurance audits at customer's premises when required.

Ideal qualifications, skillsets and experience:

- Ideally 1-2 years' experience in the UK energy markets from either a retail, regulatory or trading business
- Detailed knowledge of energy Trading Disputes processes
- Strong analytical skills and logical mind set
- Knowledge of the changes that are occurring within the GB Electricity Market and how these will affect industry stakeholders
- A high level of personal integrity and professionalism
- Excellent English verbal and written skills, comfortable in giving presentations within a formal environment
